Indie southern rock band Blackberry Smoke has released a new video for fan favorite, “Sunrise in Texas,” written by Blackberry Smoke’s own lead vocalist and guitarist, Charlie Starr, the first track off the bands highly acclaimed latest album Like An Arrow, which debuted at #1 on the Billboard Country Albums and Americana Albums charts and #3 on the Rock Albums chart this week. The new video was directed by award winning filmmaker Jamie Burton Chamberlin, known for his work with legendary acts such as ZZ Top and Sammy Hagar.
According to Starr, “Sunrise in Texas” had been floating in and out of the bands set list for years, and with a recent break from the road the band got together to finally record it. “This time, the arrangement felt really good and the vibe of the recording felt right,” Starr tells Wide Open Country. “I know some of our fans are going to be really happy that it’s finally available to add to their collection.”
