Blake Shelton’s steamy new single, “Sangria,” co-written by Josh Osborne, JT Harding, and Trevor Rosen of Old Dominion, has steadily been climbing up the charts and was Country Aircheck’s top point gainer for this week.

The positive response to the track must only serve as icing on the cake for Trevor Rosen, who was stoked to have Shelton cut the track.  “Blake Shelton is one of the premier stars in our format,” Rosen tells us.  “It’s an honor to have an artist of that caliber record one of your songs, and he absolutely knocked it out of the park.”

Shelton was equally as pleased to cut the tune. “Sangria is such a sexy song and a little bit different. It’s very important to me to push myself and push boundaries, musically and artistically,” says Shelton.

“The prevalence of image-dense lyrics in “Sangria’s” makes the song stand out in comparison to Shelton’s other singles.  Lines such as  “You’re crashing into me like waves on the coast” and “String of white lights making your eyes shine tonight,” showcase a more subtle side of his personality.
