Boo Ray shines on his latest release “Sea Of Lights,” an ode to his part time home of Los Angeles. A troubadour who splits his time between the City of Angels; Music City; and Athens, Georgia, the song simultaneously recalls hallowed rock stylings of artists like The Doors and a classic outlaw country sound. “Sometimes living in a shadow / you get a darkness creeping on your good soul,” he sings, building to a grooving, pedal-steel-laden chorus that feels a bit like a soul revival.
