Brent Cobb’s debut full-length album, Shine On Rainy Day, will be released October 7, but the title track is available today. The song, cowritten by Cobb and fellow songwriter/artist Andrew Combs, presents a heartbreakingly honest view of enduring life’s hardships and struggles (“Ain’t it funny how a little thunder can make a man start to wonder / Should he swim or just go under”), but ultimately ends with the uplifting “Shine on, rainy day.” Two other tracks, “Solving Problems” and “Black Crow” are also already available from the album, which was produced by Dave Cobb.
