Brett Young Takes To The Desert In Stunning Music Video for “Mercy”

BMLG recording artist Brett Young released a music video for his latest single, “Mercy” on Friday. “Mercy,” written with Sean McConnell, is the follow up single to three consecutive number ones. It’s already climbing the radio charts, and has been one of country radio’s most added songs over the past few weeks.

Shot in Encino, California, and at White Sands National Monument in New Mexico, the video opens with a shot of a brown upright piano in the desert. Young is seen sitting beside the piano as the chords on the piano begin to play, going back and forth on shots of a beautiful brunette woman. Throughout the video, the woman is seen through Young’s eyes, as he sits by the piano singing, remembering times of the past with her. It isn’t until the end of the video where we see the pair together, going through the good times and the bad. The video ends with the two reunited with heartbreak in their eyes.

The emotional piano ballad, which is from his 2017 self-titled album, has garnered almost 12 million streams on Spotify alone, and is on its way to being Young’s forth consecutive number one. Watch the full music video on Apple Music.
