Dierks Bentley Releases Powerful, True-Story Video for “Riser”

Dierks Bentley released this week the video for “Riser,” which portrays the story of real life Amy Thomas, a woman whom director Wes Edwards met through Safe Haven, which supports families in Nashville by providing housing to those in need. Thomas, like many whom Bentley wished to chronicle in the video, was living with her children out of their car, struggling to get by. “Riser,” written by Travis Meadows and Steve Moakler, resonated with Bentley, and though he played it at awards shows and in his sets, it wasn’t until recently that the singer made the it a single. The song, which serves as the title track for Bentley’s latest album, is an ode to overcoming adversity, is the fifth single from the album, and follows three #1’s in a row for the artist, with “I Hold On,” “Drunk On A Plane,” and “Say You Do.”
