When Drew Dixon sings, it’s like mainlining Delta blues. He has a voice that’s seeped in soul, and seemingly both keeps ghosts at bay and tells their stories, as in the bluesy “Dead Man.” With the acoustic for “Madam D’s,” released earlier this week, Dixon doubles down on groove for a performance rich with character.
“Bringing a song to life that inspires you in both the acoustic and fully produced versions is always special,” Dixon says. “This is one of those songs for me.”
