Gary Allan’s newest single “Hangover Tonight,” written by Allan, along with Chris Stapleton, Cary Barlowe and Jesse Frasure, impacts country radio today. Allan is one of country music’s most steady artists, his musical and lyrical styles slightly evolving throughout the years to generate hits such as “Watching Airplanes” and “Every Storm (Runs Out of Rain).” The case is no different with “Hangover Tonight.” The up-tempo track is sure to be a hit with fans, with killer background vocals by Stapleton and a hook that is perfect for radio.
“Hangover Tonight” comes from Allan’s soon-to-be released album, which he co-produced. It’s currently untitled, but is rumored to be released by his long-time label, MCA Nashville, this spring. He shared some of his new music at last week’s Country Radio Seminar in Nashville, answering questions from industry and radio about the single and new album. In addition to hitting radio today, “Hangover Tonight” will be available for download on iTunes tomorrow.
