Alabama Shakes’ lead singer Brittany Howard joined forces this summer with Nashville artists Becca Mancari and Jesse Lafser to form a new trio known as Bermuda Triangle. The group’s first release is a reimagining of Lafser’s 2015 song “Rosey,” and showcases all three artists’ impeccable vocals and instrumental skills. It’s a heartbreaking folk ballad, with emotive lyrics and vocal delivery, but their harmonies lift the chorus and add a layer of hopefulness to the notably sad theme. The production is flawless, and if the song is any indication of what’s to come, the trio’s work will likely be well-received by their Music City peers and audiences alike. Listen below, and keep up with tour dates via the Bermuda Triangle Facebook page.
Key Lyrics: “I let the TV roll on till morning / There was a wildfire warning / I put out the flames with buckets of rain / But I know this can never be saved.”
