Jake Owen is featured on the latest album by Owl City, known for his song “Fireflies,” which releases July 10th. Called Mobile Orchestra, the album features Owen on the song “Back Home.”
“Adam [Young, of Owl City] wrote me an email and said that he enjoyed what I did, and asked if I’d be interested in being a part of something,” Owen told Entertainment Tonight last year. It just kinda worked out.”
And while some are criticizing the artist, whose recent collaborations include a remix of his hit “Beachin'” featuring T-Pain and Mike Posner, Owen was quick to defend the move on Twitter yesterday.
Don't be silly John. Music is art. Art is subjective. @owlcity is an amazing artists and I'm fired up. #openyourmind https://t.co/5RaeQToHfb
