Kelsea Ballerini Releases “Peter Pan” Video

“He always had to feel… the rush, the heartbeat, the speed. He had a passion for things he knew could hurt him, but he never stayed long to get hurt. Sometimes I guess he found that feeling with me. And the other times, he found it being lost,” Kelsea Ballerini says Taylor Swift style in the beginning of her cinematic video for current single “Peter Pan.”

The video indeed is a rush – fast cars, faster planes, and dresses with trains that rival the first two in size. It’s a desert game of cat and mouse, Ballerini at times content with the freedom of not being tied down and at other times feeling disappointed by the lack of promise he offers. Using binoculars to look up at the sky, you wonder if she is waiting for the bright red plane to zoom by or to catch a glimpse of the second star to the right. Directed by Kristin Barlowe, “Peter Pan” takes Ballerini’s video career to the next cinematic level.
