After taking some time to develop her sound after her American Idol runner up finish, Kree Harrison released her first recorded single recently to Spotify and iTunes. “This Old Thing” has a vintage feel, horns creating a funky groove that will have you tapping your foot and wanting to learn the words so you can sing along. Her smooth vocal accompanies the lyric, giving you that perfect nostalgic feeling.
“Cause we’re still waxin’ them cars, shining them shoes / Gettin’ dolled up, puttin’ on rouge / Everything but playin’ it cool / Ain’t nothing new, I’m just sayin’ / Still no rules in this game that we’re playin’ / We’re all out here movin’ and shakin’, for this old thing”
Harrison co-wrote the song with Benjamin Lazar Davis, Amanda Wilkinson, and Tyler Wilkinson. She is currently signed to an independent music company, Plaid Flag Music, and plans to release her long awaited debut album later this year.
Harrison is performing at 3rd and Lindsley in Nashville on April 25th.
