Kip Moore has released the lead single off his upcoming (third) full-length album, due out later this year. “More Girls Like You” should help to hold over Moore’s passionate, die-hard fans until he and his band return to the road in March. The upbeat, uptempo single has a more rocking, radio-friendly vibe than we’ve seen from some of his more recent releases. Moore both co-produced and co-wrote the song, along with David Garcia, Steven Olsen and Josh Miller.
After many years of non-stop touring and writing, Kip Moore announced to his fans last fall that he would be taking a much-needed break during the first few months of 2017. Prior to his announcement, he released his 5-song EP Underground as a “thank you” to his loyal fan base. During Moore’s hiatus, he’s kept in touch with fans via social media, posting updates about everything from cliff diving to surfing to several encounters with exotic island insects.
Moore, who has a reputation for being a bachelor, said in a recent press release, “I’ve never been that guy looking for a relationship and solitude has never scared me… I’ve never bought into the societal pressure of following the A, B and C steps of life, but I still look forward to the family chapter. This song is about meeting that someone you find so amazing inside and out, that you can only pray the kids you have together are just as amazing as she is. That’s the kind of woman I hope to end up with.”
In the clip below, he explains how “More Girls Like You” is the story of what everyone wants: the unique and special bond that is created and shared between two people who start a family together.
Key Lyrics: “Your soul is pure golden / Must’ve been true love you were grown in / Sent the sun rays to a dark place / On the same day, yeah, God made girls like you…”
“More Girls Like You” may be the perfect combination of passionate, heartfelt lyrics to make the connection with widespread audiences and become Moore’s next radio hit.
