We’ve long been fans of Luke Bryan’s “Fast,” a tightly-written ode to life’s little moments and how quickly they pass by. Penned by Bryan with Rodney Clawson and Luke Laird, the song is the the sixth single from Kill The Lights, following the danceable “Move.”

“Fast / That’s the kind of car you want to drive when you’re sixteen, fast / That’s the kind of boys that you want on your home team, fast / Yeah, you think you’re gonna catch your big dreams just like that, fast / And here you are, looking back,” the song begins.

It fits well with Bryan, serving as a retrospective from an older and wiser protagonist. It’s not preachy or overly lamenting, with a lyric that’s straightforward and concludes conversationally: “Man, it just goes too fast.”
