On August 9, nonprofit organization Musicians On Call will present Lady Antebellum with the Music Heals Award. The organization, which brings live and recorded music to the bedsides of patients in healthcare facilities, hosts the event as part of their Half A Million Moments campaign, which celebrates their milestone of hosting performances for half a million patients and their families.

“Music is so universal and has so much power,” Lady Antebellum’s Hillary Scott shares in a release. “We’ve been able to share our love of music and experience first-hand how it touches people. It’s really special to see music help people get through really tough times, so we’re truly honored to be a part of what Musicians On Call is doing and receive the Music Heals Award.”

“We are excited to honor Lady Antebellum for all they have done for Musicians On Call and hospital patients throughout their career,” adds Pete Griffin, Musicians On Call President. “This intimate event will celebrate the generosity of Lady A and our volunteers who have helped us bring the healing power of music to over half a million people.”

The Half A Million Moments Celebration will also honor outgoing National Board Chair, Scott Welch, with the Leadership in Music Award and will honor Volunteer Guide, Richa Chandra, and Volunteer Musician, Laura Eady. The event is thanks in part to sponsors LadyAID, City National Bank, CAA, Onsite Workshops, UMG Nashville, Adams & Reese LLP, ASCAP, Cracker Barrel, Grand Ole Opry, Hard Rock International and Hard Rock Heals, Red Light Management, RIAA, SESAC and Warner/Chappell Nashville.
