Tucker Beathard released his EP The Demos – Vol. 1 in October of this year and if you haven’t yet heard “20-10 Tennessee,” the song belongs at the top of your list. The song revolves around the protagonist calling an ex, sharing vulnerable moments placed around updating her on the status of the football game. It’s beautifully executed, and juxtaposes well the significance between them and the significance of the game. Beathard’s unique vocal complements the lyric well.
