Song of the Day: “I Let Her Talk” by Erin Enderlin
We’ve made no secret of the fact that we’re absolutely in love with this song, in which writer and artist Erin Enderlin details a conversation with a woman with whom she shares a complicated relationship. It’s so simple and poignant in its delivery, and deliciously and fundamentally country. If you’re familiar with Brandy Clark’s masterpiece “What’ll Keep Me Out of Heaven,” that’s the elevator ride up and Enderlin’s “I Let Her Talk” is the companion piece elevator ride down.
Enderlin is an accomplished songwriter; notable cuts including Lee Ann Womack’s “Last Call,” a co-write with Shane McAnally, and Luke Bryan’s “You Don’t Know Jack.”
