St. Jude Returns for Annual “Songs and Stories” Event

St. Jude has returned to host their annual “Songs and Stories” event, set just around the corner on Wednesday, April 5th at the the City Winery. Much like in past years, attendees will be treated to performances by Grammy Award-winning songwriters including: Chris DeStefano (“Don’t Ya,” Brett Eldredge), Brett James (“Jesus Take the Wheel,” Carrie Underwood), Rivers Rutherford (“Living in Fast Forward,” Kenny Chesney), Hillary Lindsey (“Girl Crush,” Little Big Town), Jessi Alexander (“Mine Would Be You,” Blake Shelton), an Marcus Hummon (“Cowboy Take Me Away,” Dixie Chicks).

While this year’s stellar lineup is impressive enough, St. Jude and The Big 98’s marathon team partnered with Music City Hitmakers to add another delicious twist to the mix – backing by a symphony. With this addition, country’s most popular songs will be backed by the incredibly talented symphony musicians, giving listeners a unique experience that is sure to make jaws drop.

In addition to simply enjoying the music, “Songs and Stories” guests can bid on live and silent auction items and, of course, order drinks and appetizers from City Winery before the show begins. True to its title, the event’s proceeds will benefit St. Jude.
