TEDxNashville Brings Weekend of Ideas to Music City

Music City played host this past weekend to the TEDxNashville ILLUMINATE event, a two-day lineup of performers and speakers that showcased a variety of ideas and perspectives. Radio personality Bobby Bones offered a humorous take on the upsides of being shot down, while Music and the Brain director Lisa Lercari discussed music education for children. Performers included Rodney Crowell and Kris Allen.

In the non-music world, topics varied immensely as well. Presentations touched on creativity, collaboration with robots, mindfulness, and critical thinking, as well as a slew of others. For those seeking a mind-bending experience on common areas of thought, as well as those we take for granted, TEDxNashville was not to be missed, offering an impressive array of ways to view the world.
