The single, written by Jesse Frasure and Chris Stapleton, has old school vibes and a soulful feel. Rhett has compared to the song as country Bruno Mars. Rhett has impressed lately with a set of singles that deviate strongly from the typical format feel, setting himself apart sonically as a distinct artist. “Make Me Wanna,” written with Bart Butler and Larry McCoy and produced by Jay Joyce, recently hit #1 at country radio.
Though “Crash and Burn” officially impacts today, the song currently sits at #43 on this week’s airplay charts, according to Mediabase.
