A Thousand Horses Release Anthemic “Preachin’ To The Choir”

ACM nominated New Vocal Duo or Group of the year A Thousand Horses released the first single off of their forthcoming sophomore album and, fans will be happy to know, the new music was worth the wait. “Preachin’ to the Choir” has all the makings of a blue collar anthem reminiscent of Lee Brice’s “Drinkin’ Class.” The Heather Morgan, Morgan Wallen, Brad and Brett Warren co-write fits the band sonically, combining a slight rocker edge to a work-hard, play-hard country jam.

“If I’m preachin’ to the choir / Raise your hands a little higher / If you wanna sing along to a Saturday night revival song / Let me see you sparking up your lighters, Pour a little whiskey on the fire / If you’re a 40-drinking, 40-working, living the dream, then you’re just like me / And I’m preachin’ to the choir.”

While listening to the song, you can already see country fans packing amphitheaters this summer, holding lighters in the air and singing along. The combination of heavy guitars and a gospel choir backing vocals make it a must-listen sing-along.
