Nashville fans had the opportunity to see a whole new side of Brett Eldridge’s quirky, yet exceptionally endearing, personality last night.  The ACM new artist of the year nominee treated local fans to a spontaneous Karaoke party downtown.

Early in the evening, he posted an Instagram video letting fans know that he was feeling “really random tonight,” and directed fans to go to meet him at the Warner Music building on music row for the chance to win a trip on a party bus with him for an evening out on the town. Although only 10 winners were selected in the raffle, the remaining crowd of enthusiastic fans was informed to meet him and the bus at Lonnie’s Karaoke in Printer’s Alley.

Fans who made a mad dash to the bar experienced 45 minutes of Eldredge’s goofiness on full display. Erin Mercer, one of the lucky ladies who had the chance to attend the event, said that within minutes of his arrival, he was “greeting fans, giving hugs, and taking selfies.”

Eldridge proceeded to test his karaoke vocal chops on Jessie J/Ariana Grande/Nicki Minaj’s “Bang Bang,” Tim McGraw’s “Something Like That,” and even his own smash hit, “Don’t Ya.”  According to Mercer, Eldredge chose the perfect Karaoke venue, because “Lonnies is such an intimate space that you really get a neat vibe!”  As far as his Karaoke skills, she says that he “definitely won me over, not that I wasn’t already swooning in the first place!”

Given that vote for ACM New artist of the year ended today, the Karaoke was a definite attempt at a last minute push for votes.  That being said, it was an extremely gentlemanly move to thank his fans in such a fun-spirited way for their voting efforts.
