Dianna Corcoran paid tribute to her friend, Australian country singer songwriter Karl Broadie earlier this week in a touching Facebook post. Losing his battle with cancer after only being diagnosed five short weeks ago has not allowed too much time to process this devastation for his friends and fans. Broadie was considered one of Australia’s most dynamic songwriters and has had two albums top the Americana charts in the UK. Corcoran and Broadie released a duet together called “Count Your Blessings” in 2007 and it was nominated for an Australian Country Music Award the following year.

Corcoran writes: “One day, when the tears flow a little less, I will share every song we wrote together with the world, but this song I’m sharing with you today was his favorite, and I’ll never forget how happy he was the day we wrote this with the phenomenal talent of Eric Paslay.”

Forever young and forever loved you are, my dear dear friend. Time stops for no one in the end, but memories can take us back again.”
