Seth Ennis Shines On Debut EP ‘Mabelle’

Singer-songwriter Seth Ennis may be relatively new to the Nashville country music scene, but since the release of his debut single “Woke Up in Nashville” last fall, he’s found himself on the radar of some major watch lists, including Sirius XM’s “Future Five for 2017,” Pandora’s “Country Artists to Watch,” Rolling Stone Country’s “10 New Country Artists You Need To Know – November 2016” and was named a CMT “Listen Up Artist.” In fact, several of today’s most popular artists have enlisted Ennis as an opening act on some of the year’s biggest tours. You can find Seth Ennis on the road this year with Luke Bryan, Florida Georgia Line, Tim McGraw & Faith Hill, Billy Currington, Kip Moore, and Little Big Town. He recently took the stage in the U.K. at the popular “C2C: Country to Country Music Festival.”

The 24 year-old Georgia native released his debut EP Mabelle on March 3rd. The four-song digital EP was recorded in Nashville and produced by Corey Crowder. Mabelle refers to the name of the building Ennis lived in with three of his friends, sharing a cramped one-bedroom apartment when he first moved to Nashville. In fact, his small apartment is where the hit “Woke Up in Nashville” was inspired.

Ennis’ smooth, seemingly-effortless vocals allow for the emotions of each track to truly be felt. The EP opens with “Play It Cool,” which has a soulful, funky beat and then moves on to the more thought-evoking “Think & Drive,” where he sings about the magnetic pull of someone he can’t separate from. “Fast Girl” is another uptempo song that’ll have you singing along to it’s cleverly written lyrics. “Woke Up in Nashville” is the story of Ennis’ move to Music City and the struggles he faced; it’s the tale of chasing a dream, moving away from everything and everyone, but also realizing you already had what you needed all along. Ennis proves himself a talented singer-songwriter, but also shows off his musical skills while singing and playing every instrument on “Woke Up in Nashville.”

Ennis has a sweet, melodic voice with a touch of soul – you may be pleasantly reminded of the sounds of Hunter Hayes, Dan & Shay and Jason Mraz. Mabelle will surely build upon the already-growing fan base for Ennis. You can find Ennis on the road this year opening for the likes of Luke Bryan, Florida Georgia Line, Tim McGraw & Faith Hill, Billy Currington, Kip Moore and Little Big Town.
