Nominations Released for 2017 CMT Music Awards

The 2017 CMT Music Awards nominations were revealed Tuesday morning, a month prior to the June 7 event. Kelsea Ballerini, Thomas Rhett and Keith Urban received the most nominations with four each, with all three up for the biggest award of the night – Video of the Year. Joining them in the 14-nominee category are the likes of Carrie Underwood, Luke Bryan and the highly-acclaimed “Forever Country” project.

CMT has begun releasing names of performers, including Bryan, Rhett, Brett Eldredge, Miranda Lambert, Blake Shelton, and more to be added. Due to the Nashville Predators playoff games potentially falling on the same night, the venue for the awards show has been moved from Bridgestone Arena to the nearby Music City Center. Nashville star Charles Esten will host the show, which airs live on CMT.
