Hunter Hayes released a rather cryptic ad in this week’s version of country air check, indicating that he’s releasing a new single next Thursday, May 21st! There’s no official word on whether or not the new track is being released off of Storyline. That being said, it’s likely that the upcoming release is the first song off of a forthcoming project, considering that Hayes’ first two singles off of the album did not chart well. “Invisible” and “Tattoo” peaked at #19 and #24, respectively, on the Country Airplay Chart. Hayes has also alluded to spending time in the studio in a recent interview.
Regardless, the new single arrives at a great time, considering that Hayes’ is set to put some serious miles on his tourbus over the next few months. He kicked off the Wheels Up Tour with Lady Antebellum on May 1st, and is slated for another run in the UK at the end of the month. Find out if he’s coming to a city near you sometime soon.
