Kenny Chesney Has Something Important to Say with “Noise”

Kenny Chesney is well known for his laid back style of song writing, preaching to a busy world about the importance of a little TLC, mainly provided  by a beach front and sun tanned women. However, his newest release “Noise” finds Chesney more serious, lamenting the public consumption by nonsense. The song is sonically different from his usual releases and different in a way that it is also extremely socially relevant.

“Yeah we scream yeah we shout till we don’t have a voice / In the streets in the crowds it ain’t nothing but noise / drowning out all the dreams of the Tennesee boy / Just tryna be heard in all this noise”

In a Facebook interview Chesney goes into depth about the Shane McAnally, Ross Copperman, and Jon Nite co-write, discussing how we are all so trapped in our phones and how technology is sucking us into its web, where we barely communicate organically anymore. A testament to how we are experiencing our every day lives consumed by the white noise that surrounds us, “Noise” is an authentic introspective look at society.

Chesney is currently gearing up for his summer “Spread the Love Tour” and to release his 17th studio album. If “Noise” is any indication of where this veteran country singer is headed, listeners can expect the unexpected from the star.
