Comparing an old beat up car to a ruined relationship, Troy Cartwright released “Busted” as his first single off his sophomore album. The album, slated for late September was produced by Rob Baird and Brian Douglas Phillips and promises to be a stand out for the new artist. Cartwright hails from Dallas, Texas and sings with a sultry, smooth voice on the single. “Busted” touches on a familiar feeling of letting go of an unrequited love.

“Oh I didn’t know it was falling apart / out there in the middle with a broken heart / look inside the whole thing’s rusted / baby don’t even start, it’s busted.”

Cartwright effortlessly blends the country music genre with folk undertones and Americana production. Follow updates on his social media platforms: TwitterInstagram and his  website.
