Justin Adams bottles nostalgia on his dynamic new song “Back Then,” premiering exclusively today on The Shotgun Seat. The latest from the Oklahoma native showcases his dynamic vocals and ability to capture a moment, a world, a memory in a crisp three and a half minutes.
“I have loved this song since the day I co-wrote it with my buddies Andy Sheridan and Jared Scott,” Adams says. “This takes me back to high school and that careless kind of love. Thinking you are on top of the world and nothing was going to come between you and that girl but in the end it just wasn’t meant to be. There’s so much nostalgia in this song and I love that we captured that feeling in this.”
“Back Then” teases more earworms to come, in the form of his sophomore EP Horizon due May 11. Adams recently released the lead single, “How it Rolls.”
