Zac Brown Band Release Fan Video of “Homegrown”

In anticipation of their new album Jekyll + Hyde, which releases this coming Tuesday, the Zac Brown Band have released a fan video for their recent #1 single “Homegrown,” and the results are incredibly cool. Over 1,000 fans submitted home videos with snapshots of their lives: their children, their dogs, their view driving down the road. Over four hours of footage was edited into the almost four-minute video.

While fan-generated content can often be messy, the editing on the release is superb: roads blend into one another, children throw baseballs to strangers at bat, and people jump as one into a pool or an ocean. Collected into a projector-like reel of moments, it’s a reminder that we’re all cut from the same cloth of the red white and blue, and fits beautifully with the song.

The video was directed by The Zamily & Powster, produced by Caroline Bursell, and edited by James Swindells, Drew Robinson, and Leo Bridle. Jekyll + Hyde will be available April 28th, with #1 “Homegrown,” Chris-Cornell-featuring rock hit “Heavy is the Head,” and Jason Isbell cover “Dress Blues” offering a taste of what to expect.
