Zac Brown Joins the Foo Fighters on Letterman for Black Sabbath’s “War Pigs”

Zac Brown joined the Foo Fighters on Letterman this week and in the name of all that is musicianship we are glad that the two’s sonic bromance has continued to flourish. Brown first teamed up with Dave Grohl for their EP The Grohl Sessions Vol. 1, which was released last December, and the Foo Fighters recorded the first episode of their new series, Sonic Highways, at Brown’s Southern Ground recording studios in Nashville. The concept, by the way, sounds incredibly cool – the guys went to a different city each week (the Nashville episode is the first one and premieres on October 17) to record, and each night Grohl would interview various musicians in that city, at the end of the week taking the transcripts of each interview and pulling compelling lines to create lyrics.

The guys got together on Letterman to play Black Sabbath’s “War Pigs,” and in typical Brown/Grohl fashion knocked it out of the park.
