Chase Rice has a longstanding tradition of serenading a fan onstage during his seductive song, “Ride.”  On the second night of The Big Revival Tour, Nicollette Mossman was the lucky lady to be selected to grace the stage alongside Rice for the performance, and she filled us in on her once-in-a-lifetime experience.

Knowing about Rice’s tradition,  Nicollette asked him to “pull me on the stage during ‘Ride’” when she talked to him at a pre-show meet & greet. To that request he responded, “but I don’t know where your seats are!” So she told him, and he promised that he would keep an eye out for her during the show. Much to Nicollette’s surprise, Rice kept his word and sought her out of the crowd when the time came to perform the song.  Naturally, Nicollette was ecstatic about the  opportunity to be serenaded by one of her favorite artists.  Although she sat onstage in front of a sold out arena, she “blocked them out and just took in the moment of Chase singing to me.”

Nicollette, who describes the experience as “one of the best moments of my entire life,” initially became a fan of Rice’s music due to his down-to-earth personality reliability of his songs.  Having lost her father, “Carolina Can” practically resonated with her because of the line “a tombstone with my daddy’s name.” It’s no doubt that after sharing an exceptionally personal moment onstage with Rice, Nicollette has gained a whole new appreciation for him and his music.
