Cole Swindell Releases Touching Tribute, “You Should Be Here”

Fans of “Chillin’ It” singer Cole Swindell, will hear a new side of him with his latest single, “You Should Be Here,” which portrays how much Swindell wishes his deceased father could be around to see his success.

This song, written by Swindell and Ashley Gorely, is touching on its own, with lyrics such as, “They say now you’re in a better place/I would be too if I could see your face” and, “You know that if I had just one wish it’d be that you didn’t have to miss this.” The accompanying music video, directed by Michael Monaco, breaks your heart and makes you cry. The video starts with a video clip from 2013, of Swindell telling his father about signing to Warner Music. Then the video flashes to present day, Swindell visiting family in his home state of Georgia, but knowing something is missing. The video ends with a grieving Swindell at his father’s grave.

Fans are liking this new side of their favorite Georgia boy: after making its live debut on the Bobby Bones Show, “You Should Be Here” is currently country radio’s most added song.
