Pop-country singer/songwriter Krista Angelucci has been playing this song out for a while now, and we’re so excited she’s demoed it and released it this Valentine’s Day.
“Ashes,” a co-write with our Shotgun Seat family member Kris Hitchcock, definitely falls more on the anti-Valentine’s side, describing a church that the character grew up in. On the eve of the wedding of the man she loved (loves?), she’d rather burn the church down than let him take it from her. It’s The Band Perry’s “Better Dig Two” with Eric Church recklessness.
