Lee Brice To Become First Country Artist To Play All 50 States This Year

Lee Brice is on track to become the first country artist to play all 50 states this year – a feat that’s rare both among country artists and touring performers in general. Brice began to tackle the remaining states on August 28, with 12 to go, and will conclude at the Rome Brewhouse in Rome, Georgia on November 15.

Brice, whose performances in the coming months include the multi-genre iHeartRadio Music Festival, has the rare ability to succeed commercially with both love songs and party anthems. His latest #1, “Drinking Class,” carried both substance and connect-ability.

“It’s exactly what I wanted to do,” Brice told us recently of his ability to bring both deeper material and uptempo anthems to top the radio charts. “It’s not natural for me to just kind of do the in between, I kind of wanna either really tug your heartstrings, ‘cuz that’s the stuff I grew up loving, or I wanna make you just fall into the anthemic, let’s party together, let’s celebrate together, let’s be a part of one thing.”

“So I’m kind of extreme left and extreme right and sometimes it’s a little harder to get those songs played on the radio, they don’t just fly up the charts. It takes work, but to me it’s more gratifying in the end, and hopefully they’re more memorable and they hang around. Ten years from now maybe some of these songs will maybe still be relevant.”

His most recent release is “That Don’t Sound Like You,” the stellar, emotive, and yearning mid-tempo that serves as the third single from third album I Don’t Dance. The song continues to climb the charts as Brice pursues his #LeeBrice50In52.
