Preview: Nashville Film Festival

Beginning Thursday, April 14 through the 23rd, movie goers will be graced with the festival made just for them—the Nashville Film Festival (NaFF), held at Regal Green Hills Cinema. With 6,500 film submissions, this year’s festival is bound the be the biggest and most impressive yet.

Within the festival, there are screenings of shorts and feature films spread across a multitude of genres, including several coined as “Music City” films that take viewers on a journey into various aspects of the music industry, artists’ journeys, and more. Filmmakers include: Rory Feek (Josephine), Nate Gowtham (Colin Hay – Waiting for My Real Life), Brenda Greene Mitchell (Honky Tonk Heaven), and Keith Maitland (A Song For You: The Austin City Limits Story), to name a few. While there is an overwhelming number of films to choose from, you can find comfort in the fact that NaFF has put together an impressive list of films that are all bound to move its viewers.

With on-screen appearances from high profile artists such as Willie Nelson, George Strait, Colin Hay, and countless others, deciding which films to see is destined to be enormously difficult.
