Charles Kelley released recently the video for his debut solo single, “The Driver,” a gorgeous collaborative effort with Eric Paslay and Dierks Bentley. The song, written by Kelley, Paslay, and Abe Stoklasa, captures the essence of life on the road, and the combination of dreams and hard work that goes into it. The video was shot in Nashville’s War Memorial Auditorium.
”It takes a whole circus of people on the road to get from city to city each night,” Kelley says in a release. “This song pretty much sums up the last eight years of my life in four minutes, so I wanted the video to include some of the people behind-the-scenes who help us live this crazy dream before the show starts and the fans that bring it all to life. ”
Kelley will begin his first solo headlining tour in November, hitting the road with up and comer Maren Morris.
