Eric Church’s latest single, “Like A Wrecking Ball,” hit radio this week, with 32 monitored adds as of Tuesday.
“This is about rough sex,” Church said, intro-ing the song at a show last year. The track, written by Church and Casey Beathard (with whom he wrote the stellar “Like Jesus Does,” among others), is that indeed – a sultry, lascivious ode to a lust-fire fueled by distance.
Church is nominated for four Academy of Country Music (ACM) Awards this year, was recently announced as a performer on the ACMA’s, and is currently on the road for The Outsiders World Tour.
