Nashville artist Andrew Leahey exclusively shares with us today his video for “Silver Linings,” filmed live at Silver Point Studios. Leahey’s musical career involves recovery from brain surgery; Leahey will release the Ken Coomer (Wilco, Uncle Tupelo) produced Skyline in Central Time, a response to that recovery, August 5.

Leahey’s taste for music was honed by his studies at Julliard – a classical immersion that inspired his reversion to rock & roll – and his work as a music journalist for a variety of notable outlets. It’s a taste that carries over to his music, which carries strong style and a defined sound.

“There are so many bands in Nashville doing what we do,” Leahey says. “You can go into town any night of the week and see some frontman absolutely laying waste to the stage, with only 10 people in the audience. What a weird, awesome town. This song is our tribute to them — to whose who break their backs for free.”

Nashville, mark your calendars! Leahey will perform at The Basement on August 4 for his album release show.
