Texas-raised duo SmithField delivered a strong set at the Made in Nashville Festival this past Saturday, performing to crowds at Nashville’s Centennial Park. Ranging from ballads like their emotional “Hey Whiskey” to more uptempo numbers, SmithField’s harmonies and penchant for storytelling led their 45-minute set. The duo, who have opened for acts including Eric Paslay and Scotty McCreery, included two covers in their set, Keith Urban’s “God’s Been Good To Me” and Deana Carter’s classic, “Strawberry Wine.” The duo are among the hardest-working and most determined up and comers in Nashville, and their passion permeates their shows, for a don’t-miss energy that shone this past weekend. It’s a sound that’s arresting at first listen and continues to move you through repeated spins, and was well-executed this past Saturday.
