Kid Rock’s taking a crack at country radio again, this time with “First Kiss,” an uptempo rock song that stylistically is right out of Rock’s wheelhouse. It’s not really a perfect fit for what’s going on on the country airwaves right now, but with country’s increasingly genre-diverse sound, anything’s possible.
It’s far from the Michigander’s first country attempt – his Sheryl Crow duet “Picture” did well in 2002, as did “All Summer Long” in 2008.
The song, a Warner Brothers release, goes to country radio April 27.
