Hunter Hayes released the video for his new single “21” today, an up-beat ode to being ‘wild and young.’ The song is the first of a series of songs Hayes is releasing through iTunes and Spotify, paving a new release strategy among country artists, with a digital-first mindset.
The video, which features Hayes’ Spotify-esque new color scheme of green and black, showcases Hayes performing, cut with some dancing silhouettes that recall the early Apple iPod ads.
The song, written by Hayes with Ashley Gorley, Dallas Davidson, and Kelley Lovelace, currently sits at #43 at country radio, according to Mediabase. The video was directed by Kristin Barlowe.
