Donovan Woods Releases “On The Nights You Stay Home”

Donovan Woods released last week his song “On The Nights You Stay Home,” a slow-burning track that showcases Woods’ stellar writing and soft, smooth voice. Woods’ vocal style, conversational tone, and rolling instrumentation will appeal to country fans and fans of artists like Paul Simon, James Taylor, or Sufjan Stevens. The track teases the Canadian’s upcoming LP – in the meantime, he’s spending the next month on the road with harmonic crooners The Bros. Landreth.

Woods is a stellar writer – “Beginning of Things,” “It Just Got Weird,” and “That Hotel” are all Shotgun Seat favorites – and recording artist in his own right. Tim McGraw fans will be familiar with his cut on Sundown Heaven Tour, “Portland, Maine,” and Woods has had songs recorded by Billy Currington and Wes Mack.

Take a listen below, and buy the song on iTunes.
