We are so, so excited here at The Shotgun Seat to host our first ever songwriters round, and we’d love for you to join us! The free event on Wednesday, February 3rd will begin at 6pm at The Listening Room.

We will be collecting used guitar strings to donate to the nonprofit organization Strings For Hope, so please bring any used strings you may have lying around! Strings for Hope turns the strings into wearable art, benefitting food distribution programs, healthcare clinics, and schools in Tennessee and globally in Honduras and Kenya.

Our round will feature music from:

Billy Montana Billy Montana Songs for Sale

Billy Montana has written hits including Garth Brooks’ #1 “More Than A Memory,” which hit #1 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart in its debut week, the first song to do so in the history of the chart. Other songs include hits like Sara Evans’ “Suds in the Bucket” and Lee Brice’s “Hard To Love,” and gems like Martina McBride’s “House of A Thousand Dreams” and son Randy Montana’s “Last Horse.” Fans of the show Nashville will also know Montana’s work with the song “What If I Was Willing,” sung by character Will Lexington.

Dan CouchIMG_7032

Even the casual Kip Moore fan is a Dan Couch fan. Couch has been behind numerous his with Moore, from debut single “Mary Was The Marrying Kind” to “Somethin’ ‘Bout A Truck,” “Hey Pretty Girl,” “Young Love,” and “Dirt Road.” Couch has also had songs recorded by artists including Tracy Lawrence and Jewel, and is a co-writer on Canaan Smith’s current single, “Hole In A Bottle” (check out what he said about the writing of the song!)

Erik Dylanerik dylan

Though Erik Dylan’s songs have grabbed the attention of other artists – he’s had songs recorded by Eric Paslay, Thompson Square, Chad Brownlee, and even Hinder – Dylan is a formidable artist in his own right. He’s opened for some of the biggest names in country, and has the ability to grab a large crowd or stir the soul with moving songs like his most recent, “Ashes” or his Kip Moore cut, “Comeback Kid.”

Jillian Jacquelinejillian jacqueline

Jillian Jacqueline has been making it look effortless since age 9, when she starred on Broadway alongside Kenny Rogers. Her debut solo single, “Overdue,” features Vince Gill (check out her annotations of the lyrics here!) Her debut EP is on the way, but in the meantime you can catch her writing skills on Vince Gill’s latest single, “Take Me Down,” which features Little Big Town.

Tia Scolatia scola

Tia Scola is newer to the Nashville community but has already left her mark, earning herself industry interest and notable co-writes. Her writing is both irresistibly catchy and impressively aware, from the punchy “Dead Roots” to “St. Christopher’s Coin,” which takes the first person perspective of a serial killer.
